We will discuss theReport of Enlisted Personnel Evaluations alongwith the Navy’s performance standards, pro-cedures for rating personnel, performance record-keeping, and the petty officer quality controlreview board.This chapter will tell you how to developyourself professionally. By now you are well intoyour enlistment; you might be consideringreenlisting, changing your rating, or continuingtoward other goals. These concerns and manymore form the basis for your long-range careerplanning. You should also take interest in careeropportunities to improve yourself professionally.We will discuss career-enhancing programssuch as the Selective Conversion and Reenlistment(SCORE) Program, the Selective Training and Re-enlistment (STAR) Program, and the GuaranteedAssignment Retention Detailing (GUARD) Pro-gram.
